Re-Animator Shrine

watching this movie has done irreparable damage to my psyche. this mostly started with me hunting down the novelization, zines and fanfiction and keeping them together on my bookshelf. and then slowly, after graciously listening to me lose my mind more and more over this movie my friends have gifted and/or made me some really lovely re-animator gifts!! so in a way this is also shrine to my friends being lovely, cool people. peace and love on planet earth.

what an interesting book........ the random POV jumps. herbert reanimating a spider. dan nailing a bat to the side of the house (?????). extra hill scenes no one wanted. an author so homophobic he made herbert gay. there's really so much to unpack about whatever the fuck happened here.

i picked this up at my local sci-fi/horror bookstore. it's got some neat posters from the release of the movie in Spain in 1986.

in the first pic are some fun j combs mini zines and the second are both issues of miskatonic monthly! you can find them all here.

i found this at axman surplus store while i was looking for syringes for another reanimator related project and it came in a box with this label!! so i bought it and re-animated my home with bottles.

my partners found this mousepad in the wild without even looking for it. although he deserves to be humbled by having a mouse on him this is instead the base of the shrine.
